DealDey is an e-commerce site featuring daily deals on products and services from merchants across the country. DealDey has over 1 million users and over 15,000 active merchants.

 

Our application was getting negative reviews; users were struggling to complete a purchase on the site, data showed 70 – 80% of customers that get to the checkout process abandon their cart. Our challenge was to explore how we could perfect the checkout process for users and ultimately get them to feel confident enough to become loyal customers.

Our high-level goals were to:

  1. Make it easy and seamless for customers to checkout.
  2. Remove impediments from the checkout process.
  3. Reduce cart abandonment.
